Do You Know: Why the world has not come to an end yet?

The Bible is our guide through life and contains the knowledge, wisdom and understanding needed to solve all the problems of life and so this "do you know" series focuses on what the Bible has to say concerning various questions and issues of life. Be rest assured you can trust the info you get from this series because the Bible is the only book that speaks of the past, present and future. I hope we get enlightened through this series. And so what does the bible have to say about the coming of Jesus Christ and the end of the world and why does it seem like it's never gonna happen? (More after the cut)

The answer to this question is in 2 Peter 3:8-10, Peter speaking says 8 "but you must not forget this one thing dear friends; A day is like a thousand years to the Lord, and a thousand years is like a day. 9 "The Lord isn't really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No he is being patient for tour sake. He does not want anyone to  destroyed, but he wants everyone to repent." 10 "But the day of the Lord will come as unexpectedly as a thief. Then the heavens will pass away with a terrible noise, and the very elements themselves will disappear in fire and the earth and everything on it will be found to deserve judgement."
And so this just goes to show the extent to God's love towards us as Human Beings and as his priced possession. Let this sink in and think about the life you live at this very moment. Are you living your life the way God wants you to live it as his creation?
