Abuja Mythbusters: "Rich People Just full The Town"

In Abuja all that glitters is not gold, e fit be GL. Legit money making people are everywhere but also some "wanna bes" who have taken to heart the "fake it till you make it" anthem  and haven't made it yet so they are still faking it. You see some guys, fresh af, nice house, nice car but only to you o, next thing you know his gist won't rhyme again, that nice car he used to pick you that day, he'll say its in the mechanic, even if the car is his for real, its probably his home as well, his entire belongings is probably in the trunk. Her: okay why don't you want us to go to your place and chill? Him: My uncle is around and his friends too.  For others the borrow borrow is live af especially the women plus the numerous lies to back up the fake lifestyle anyone can be easily deceived. Moral of the story: Don't let packaging fool you, e fit be wash.

Abuja Myth Busters: "All Abuja Roads are Tarred"

Abuja has good roads, one of the best compared to other states that's why many accident dey happen on a steady because Abuja people forget say na still Naija dem dey and some drivers no get sense.
Majority of the Main roads in Abuja are fresh but some places have untarred roads like the towns that are outskirts, which is quite sad for the FCT so hopefully the Government will do something about it with time.

Abuja Mythbusters 4: "All Hausa People are Muslims"

So people in other states just assume that all Hausa people here are Muslims, even some people here assume the same thing. Let me ask; are all Ibo people Catholics? exactly so I wonder why they assume this. Some people even confuse the tribe with the religion, they cant tell the difference, smh. There are Christian Hausa people as well as Hausa Muslims here so we don't get it twisted.

Abuja Myth Busters. Episode 4: "We go to Villa to see Presido as we like"

Honestly this one is shocking and cracks me up aswear. Asin you hear people from other states asking you "so hows the president doing now?" as at how? like say una be neighbors for the same estate. Dem no dey see president anyhow, you fit even dey abuja 20years and you no go see am. How e take concern us sef? President dey share money? People wey dey always see am na people wey dey find contract and other things that they want from him.
So NO not all of us see the president every other day, we still dey see am for TV like una, some of us the closest we've been, is seeing his convoy on the way to the airport and na because say we gats wait.  People who ask this, now you know stop asking, it’s hilarious and annoying.

Abuja Myth Busters Episode 2: "We do not all have sugar daddies"

As much as its the trend especially in a town like this, we need to clear the air. Please and please we don't all have sugar daddies. Some of us are working our asses off 8hrs a day 5days a week, looking for ushering jobs and whatever brings extra cash on the weekends. Not all of us have sugar daddies that spoil us and give us all the money we want, in fact if it's not work money, its either some friends are just nice and give us change from time to time or we have a bf who is trying to support too. Besides where dem dey find sugar daddy because if it was so easy maybe I fit done get by now but as dem no dey pluck for tree nko?
And please not everyone wants to ruin their life and face karma later by having to deal with our husband sleeping with young hotties or be going for deliverance from spirit husband, some of us still have values and self respect that money can't buy so when next you open your fat mouth to say all these girls have sugar daddies, Nna remember this post.

Abuja Myth Busters. Episode 1 "Everyone in Abuja is rich"

It’s very easy for people to assume that Abuja is a land of money where everyone is rich and leaving a life of luxury because of the politicians and all that's here.
Mehn we are not all rich o, I never even pay my rent.
The way it is here is the way it is in other states. In fact there are so many broke people here including me, who don't live in mansions, who don't shop in Dubai, who have never traveled abroad, who didn't school there either, who still buys food stuffs from Utako market and not shop rite, who buy okrika, who don't drive range, who have never been to Aso villa and Transcorp, who still buy mama put, who still wear Aba clothes and who stay in places with untarred roads. Now una know.
