Career Options for Those who Have Become Victims Of the Abuja Life

        http://happenings.com.ng/wp-content/uploads/Abuja_NightLife_FederalSecretariat.jpg

Abuja is a really chilled place, no traffic, nice spots, a certain reputation for security, expensive shit here and there but don't let the flashy cars, the tarred roads, the rich politicians, the private jets and mansions, fool you, it’s all about packaging and if you remove the wraps and rainbows all you see is people with empty lives, mostly fakes trying to be what they are not. As a new person in Abuja it will be so hard to keep up because you’ll judge your “behind the scenes” with their “packaged edited movie” and do all sorts to join the trend. Half the people in Abuja don't have legit jobs and below I'm going to list the different career paths for both men and women in Abuja, 5 each and according to hierarchy (more after the cut)
Men
1. Male sex worker/gigolo: This being the most common for some reason comprises mostly of married men who have the rich female (or male) politicians as sugar mummy’s and also of young men who are too lazy to have a real hustle.
3. Yahoo: This "job opportunity" is not restricted to young jobless youths or men but it includes working class men and women who need more money than their bank job or government work has to offer. (Please without jazz(charm, juju, voodoo) does maga still pay?)

2. Pimping: this is the art of selling young women who are willing, to men for money for which they get 70% of the cut or more.
4. Agents: These are the young men you see lurking around popular places, saying they are "agents" who are ready to show you vacant houses of which sometimes they know nothing about.  Many are scammers.
5. Drug dealer: It is what it is and is not only limited to those on the streets. For some rich men this is one of their major sources of income, some have farms in various states and I don’t mean cassava plantation.

Women
1. Female Sex worker/Ashewo: Often called runz or okpo work involves women of all ages, sizes, social status etc who sleep around for a fee. If she asks you how much? She fits into this category. It also comprises of corporate ashewo, being working class women who it on the low low.
2. Pimping: This mostly comprises of the so called “high class” ashewo who have graduated to "mama" status and have repented or maybe gotten married but still need the extra cash so they recruit other girls, rent a one room for them and start business for a huge cut.
3. Salesperson: And by this I don’t mean marketer, they sell anything ranging from weaves to waist trainers to dresses to bleaching products to Viagra and forever living you name it. Their scope for most products is to double the price or even tripling it after buying from cheap online stores (I will deliberately not name them before I spoil their business, because if you compare the price of that your dress, you'll pass out). I don't buy from them because I know better.
4. Blogging: It is what it is (me sef follow for this one I guess)
5. No job: This category is quite complex to explain, it includes women (or even men)who have no jobs, all they do is stay at home, shop online, go out, party etc and their rent keeps getting paid, bills all paid, car always fueled but no one knows what they do. I guess this is another form of ashewo work but then again I might be wrong. If you have an idea of what they do, please inform me so I can curb my confusion.
Abuja and Nigeria in general needs change and I mean real Change or else, things will keep deteriorating, I guess if there were available real jobs people won’t resort to most of these jobs.. PRAY FOR OUR DEAR COUNTRY.
