Do you know that
feeling when you're listening to Cool FM or maybe Love FM on the radio and you
hear the female presenter talking and you just get angry for no reason because
it’s obvious she's faking the British accent and sometimes it sounds American
even Hispanic. If it doesn't annoy you, well it annoys me so much. When I hear
it I just feel like calling to say "Please it’s not by force". (more after the cut)
Well that aside,
in Abuja girls form all types of accents it’s so bad that you can’t even tell
who's legit these days. Most of the girls that do this have never traveled
out, the ones that have will travel to the US for two weeks vacation and come back
with British accent (Magicians) and it’s so obvious, maybe that's why the men don't take
them seriously. Some after watching keeping up with the kardashians they
pick up accent that's not even real because that one is reality show
voice but they don't even know the difference, as long as they sound foreign, they don't mind.
It sounds so
stupid because they mix it up adding th where t is
supposed to be in the words and saying like seriously and I
was like a little too much. Wait till you hear them gisting with their
girlfriends most speak only pidgin sef.
If you're among
them, Biko stop it, you're Nigerian, its okay to talk like one and there's
nothing you can do about it.
