I closed the door to my past
Tied up the loose ends at last
Answered questions of what might have been
Understand what’s now and what was then
I believed fate was trying to break my heart
Each time I let go, tried to make a new start
Life lessons I learned each day
Each tear drop shed words they say
Became a little tougher at night
Waiting for you to come in my life
Wanted to be the right moment in time
I couldn’t get a man like you off my mind
It’s true I had second thoughts
Scared of what I might have lost
Still so much I wanted to do
Didn’t want to be held back by you
Never could imagine you not here with me (more after the cut)
Love we are sharing is still a mystery
Life lessons I learned each day

Uncertainty of me in your life
Wanted it to be the right moment in time
