NYSC in Abuja Episode 3: "International Students Move This Way"

We wey no study for outside country, na only us sabi the feeling when the International students get treated like gods, e just be like make you just rewind time, go study abroad even if na Gabon make you just sha follow. The preferential treatment is on another level entirely. Let me just try and list a few of the many ways they get treated better than we the "local students":

1.      The international students are the ones that studied abroad and sadly Ghana and Kenya dem follow, asin any place wey no be Naija even if na Cameroon or Sudan, e follow.

2.      These people used to join the local ones to have CDS (community Development Service) together but now they have their own separate CDS in different more chilled locations with little or no rules. And mind you, dem fit no dey go CDS, dem fit just decide to dey pay one staff wey go dey sort out their attendance on a steady.

3.      I remember going to NYSC office in Garki and they seized my flat shoe because it wasn't white canvas or jungle boot. Well our jand brothers and sisters are allowed to wear whatever they damn well please.

4.      Majority will form accent, and drive their father’s cars to the CDS and park inside the NYSC compound even when normally corpers are not allowed to even drive there, let alone park inside.

5.      They can customize their uniforms anyhow they like, maybe even wear jeans that looks like khaki and it will be accepted.

6.      The NYSC staffs treat them with more respect because well, they studied abroad so we must lick the floor they tread on and sprinkle it with gold.

7.      They are less likely to be your friend, except you're cute, rich and went to a private uni, if you went to polytechnic just forgerrit and yes they are that petty.

8.      They may or may not submit PC (Performance Certificate) but their allowee sure pass you wey dey submit every month end and sometimes sef after you done submit u fit still get issues and you gats fill out application carry am go all the offices wey dem go still use you shine, do yeye before dem pay. One been ask me wetin be PC, the eye wey I give am ehn, she shock.

9.      Some Staffs dey like famz with them I think I know why.

10. Dem fit no do clearance but them go still pass out in fact dem go even collect certificate before you wey carry NYSC on top your head.

With these few points of mine, I hereby oppose the motion that International students are better than awon Local Students. Enjoy your day, if your Job is boring like mine, PELE.
