Ibo Men in Abuja

Sometimes we wonder why there are stereotypes, tribalism, discrimination, amongst us Africans, we love to analyze and classify to know where we stand and how to act, as much as this simplifies, it also highlights the differences and this will only get worse in our society. These things are there for a reason and factual or not, it will always be cliché because we dwell on the negatives more than the positives.  When it comes to stereotypes and tribalism, its everywhere, Hausa equals olodo, Ibo equals money mongers, Yoruba equal dirty people, it’s almost like reflex reaction to just judge in our minds and not be entirely open to accept others. Ibo people normally are known for money asin moving containers here and there, business men of all sorts of businesses and are known to not joke with their money, beer and potbelly. Ibo people are also said to be cunning maybe tricky just to outsmart others and make more money even though it involves taking advantage of other people. (more after the cut)

The Ibo men in Abuja especially the young ones 20 thru 35 are  mostly good looking and a  different kind of stingy, it’s like they have calculators in their heads calculating, dividing and subtracting everything. If an Ibo guy asks to take you out, it’s mostly to some garden where he knows there's cheap pepper soup, catfish and beer, never to some posh place like some Chinese restaurant or somewhere like KFC, maka why?  Or to his house where he knows you won't want to eat because you don't trust his cooking, also because he doesn’t have to spend a dime except maybe for your transport fare back home, infact him paying your TP is only because he has already done the math in his head since you're coming to his house, he will get the worth of his money either through head or sex. Nothing goes for nothing o.
The rich kids (20 thru 30, yes 30) are spoiled and so stingy to themselves they won't want to move out of their father's house so if you meet them na your house una go dey meet or his friend’s house, they are not ashamed to borrow money from you and make you take care of them like babies. No shame whatsoever. It’s only an Ibo guy that will spend the night at a woman’s house and will expect her to make him breakfast like one maid before she goes to work, The rich married Ibo men are the most annoying, they want you to perform wife duties for free while their wife and kids are abroad, they sleep with anything that has a hole, money you won't see, because he will always say he doesn't have and I quote "I haven't been paid". "Government is owing me" or "My containers are with customs" or “don’t worry I’m expecting some money just be patient” (but you go wait 30years that money never show). Although most are known to be hardworking the lazy ones are just pathetic, their wives will be the bread winner and they will still maltreat her and cheat. To date an Ibo guy in Abuja, You have to be smart, have your own money so their stinginess won’t affect you) and have excess sense so you won’t be used.
